tick tock stop the clock fiction is my thing.

WOW. So I have not updated this blog in forever. I really haven't been up to much besides working and working and crafting. This summer I honestly have not been concentrating on photography but experimenting more with other mediums. I might regret it when school starts up again, but as of right now it's exactly what I need.

I have ideas running through my head about a senior thesis, but I'm trying to not stress about the year to come. I need to understand that I have to enjoy my last year at college and take it one day at a time.

But other then that, here is a soft sculpture I made based off of the short story Birds by Bruno Schulz...

I made more sculptures to extend the mutated animal theme for my Critical Issues in Photography class (including a 6 legged horse, no eared elephant, and a two headed turtle). Unfortunately I do not have photos of those and I have no idea where I stored them. Maybe one day I will stumble across their whereabouts.

It's been a hard day's night, and I've been working like a dog.

We had a metal assignment for my studio class, I feel like this took forever to light. The end result is just, eh.

Here is some more studio work, we had to make a 2 page magazine spread. this isn't the final version, but it's close...I have to do some more minor editing. I think I'm getting the hang of this.

Well i'd like to think i'm the mess you'd wear with pride.

Here is some studio work I had to do for class. I'm really proud of the outcome since it my was first time lighting glass and I had no help whatsoever. I was trying to work in a tiny little studio with 3 lights that had a mind of their own and would shoot off randomly and would not sync with the camera (and of course the equipment room was no help).

This next one is really bright and contrasty because the background came out really gray. I had to use a lot of layer adjustments and masks (I'm still working on my photoshop skills)...

Paper planes. Folding paper planes. Throwing paper planes, to clear my head.

This is the alternative print assignment I just did for my Junior Workshop class (inkjet transfer). The second part is due next week where we have to improve on our original idea....I still don't know exactly what I'm doing but I have a good idea.

I still have a lot of work to post that I finally scanned from last semester along with some photos from this semester, so expect a lot of updates in the near future!
